Why all things work for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Because He takes every circumstance no matter how bad it may or every circumstance no matter how trying and uses it for a purpose; to conform us into the image of His Dear Son. One thing we forget when we tell Father we want to be more like Jesus is that Jesus the very Son of God, God in the flesh, learned obedience through the things He suffered. How much we really want to be like Jesus depends on how much we’re willing daily to take up our cross and follow Him.

Jesus Was Born A King

Jesus will not someday become a King; He was born a King. To deny His Kingship is too deny who He is. To deny His virgin birth, to deny or to put off His Kingdom of which Scripture says we have become a part off is not only to deny Him but also His Father who sent Him. The world may say we are weak and foolish to believe but not so; who is a fool but the one who denies there is a God? Merry Christmas; “Glory to God in the Highest! Peace On Earth to men of good will!”

It is better to give than to receive.Jesus still feeds the multitudes.

Jesus taught if you give a fest invite the lame, the blind folks who cannot repay yo and you will be blessed by your Father in heaven. He also taught that by giving into the least of these My brethren you’ve done it unto me. The following were taken at a Christmas feast for the homeless in Naha city, Okinawa. This is what CHRISTmas is all about.

This is a little shopping area in Okinawa known as Depot Island. It’s all illuminated up now to attract tourist for the shopping season. The Japanese have learned well the materialistic side of Christmas from our Western culture; but like to many of us Americans have forgotten or perhaps never know the “Real Joy of Christmas is in the giving and not in all the getting!”

America An Exception Nation?

Is America really “an exceptional” nation as many conservative talk show hosts proclaim? Interesting verse found in Isaiah were it states “Behold the nations are like a drop in the bucket, and are to be regarded as a speck of dust on the scales.”
There is a nation that will bear Kingdom fruit that Jesus spoke of in Matt. 21:43 and Peter defined for us in ! Pet. 2:9; the Church that Jesus builds is to be God’s exceptional nation, they will be God’s LIGHT shining to a dark and hopeless world; not America.

A Place Of Rest

Even in the midst of what seems like the worst storm or whatever you want to call what your going through there is a place of rest. This little duck has found his in a canal by an industrial trace with a horrible surrounding landscape, but here the water seems clear there is shade and a place to reflect upon the fact that no matter what; “He never leaves us nor forsakes us” and that “no trial or tribulation we endure can separate us from His love!”

Will Works Save Us?

When Paul said in Eph. 2:5-6 that; “we’re saved by grace through faith and not by works least any man should boast;” how are some of the ways we can define works?

Jesus in Matt. 5:13-16 said: “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Here He is not speaking to Christians because it is before the cross and as of yet there are none saved in the way we understand today. But like most I believe there is a futuristic reference to who we should be IN Christ; as Paul also made mention in Eph. 2:10 that; “We are His workmanship created IN Christ Jesus for good works.” Paul also told the Church at Coloasse that they; Were to bear fruit in every good work.”

From my perspective these good works come out of us becoming New Creations In Christ. Any what we would call good works before we came to Christ would not qualify us for the Kingdom of God; and after we become believers it is the Life Of Christ within us that should be pushing us to good works; work that please the Father.

Maybe to a Jew who reads or hears Paul’s words, they may think of works as being of the Law; this may also be true of someone who comes out of a pagan background who in the past has tried to appease their god or gods by their legalistic works or regular attendance at the temple cult meetings. Maybe to a non-Christian who is basically just a good person who gives to charity and helps old people cross the street they might feel just being good is all one needs to please God and make it into heaven.

I think Paul wants us to understand there is only one way we can please God and obtain His saving grace and it is not by works but “By grace through faith.” God accomplishing for us IN Christ what we cannot do for ourselves.
